Teaching Assistant

University of Calgary

• Helping students understand Python and C

Student Research Position

University of Calgary

• 4-month summer research position partially funded by the NSERC USRA, a competitive grant.

• Research involves physical layer security for 5G-enabled Autonomous driving.

• Creating an algorithm to detect passive eavesdroppers in vehicle to vehicle communications with interference environment. Algorithm was developed in Python with some simulations in MATLAB.

Novatel Applied Research Intern

• 16-month internship on the applied research team working on GNSS spoofing mitigation and interference finding. This involved creating spoofing tests with a HackRF to test the durability of GNSS systems to spoofing.

• Worked closely with Senior algorithms engineer to visually depict interference data with Python.

• Wrote code in Python and C++ to create spoofing mitigation GUI which was able to interface with a HackRF.

• Worked closely with algorithm team to create a velocity solution. The solution was less latent and less noisy than the competitor.

Connected Solutions Specialist

• Sold a variety of technical products such as: Garmin, Fitbit, Up3 wearables; laptops; audio technology and GeekSquad services.

• Developed persuasive verbal skills and strong communication skills with customers and coworkers.

• Went through over 20 hours of training targeted to approaching customers, sales techniques, positive social interaction and closing sales.
